Synopsis:

A broken heart is only the beginning for her.

Bookworm Annabelle Hart thinks she’s found the love of her life. But when her fiancé’s philandering ways shatter their happy future, she decides she’s through playing the victim. Now, rather than read about life, she wants to live it—starting with a sabbatical from her editing job in Chicago to travel the world. But the past refuses to let her go so easily.

He thinks he has his life figured out.

After watching the woman he thought he loved walk away from him, Holden Blackburn is still picking up the pieces. Content with his life as the owner of an English Inn, just outside the sleepy town of Alton, he’s living his new and peaceful normal. That is, at least, until Annabelle stumbles into his life, and he’s overwhelmed by a desire to learn all he can about her. Now if only he can get her to stay in one place long enough.

Will they risk their hearts on a new chance at love?

When her past returns in a way she can’t ignore, Anna panics, running from any possible future with Holden. She’s determined to keep her life from falling apart again, but she soon discovers the only place she feels safe is in Holden’s arms.

But some things even he can’t protect her from.

About the Author:

I live in Cincinnati, OH with my amazing geeky husband, our three genius children, and our two dogs (who have earned the affectionate nicknames of Chubbs and Stinks).

I have been lucky enough to do many exciting things in my life.  In 2006 I was able to quit the daily grind of my office job and become a full time artist and photographer.  Though I always enjoyed my career choice it wasn’t the job I had dreamed of since I was a child.  I was always writing poetry and short stories as a child, but when I was 14 I wrote what I thought would be my first novel (in all honesty is was more novella size) about Queen Gwen and the Arthurian Legend.  The book ended up tucked away in my folders, occasionally to be brought out and remind me of that “one day” dream. Life happened as it usually does and though I continued to jot down book ideas I spent my next 18 year exploring other paths.

My husband always encouraged me to follow my dream and try my hand at writing.  In 2011, I found myself urning to for a new challenge and scared as I was to put myself out there, I sat down and focused on one of my ideas.  To my astonishment in two weeks time fifty thousand words poured out of me.  I revealed the results to my husband and his glow was all the confidence I needed to keep pushing.

Book 1, Sacred Bloodlines of The Guardians was met with positive reviews which kept me pushing forward. I’ve written a lot of books since that time and feel so blessed to have found my calling.
